Birthday simulation

Check with your neighbors. Did any of you have a probability over 50% for 22 people?
Click

and then repeat the simulation of 100 trials, this time for 24 people in the room.
-What is the probability?
Write it on the board
and in your notes.
-Examine the class responses to see whether they indicate that betting on this result would give you at least even odds.
For homework I asked you to ask around to see whether any two people on your floor have the same birthday--and record the number of people you ask.
-Click
Reset
and then enter the number of people you asked and repeat the simulation for 100 trials for that number of people.
-What was the probability of two people having the same birthday? Record this in your notes.
