First Amendment does protect speech, but NOT obscenity, child pornography, true threats, fighting words, incitement to imminent lawless action, criminal solicitation or defamation.
It is not infringed simply because people choose not to listen, or because non-speech-oriented government regulations prevent you from reaching your target audience (e.g., your freedom of speech is not infringed if the government refuses to allow you on a military base to make your argument to a command officer).
