Guidelines for Reflections

These typed expositions are typically 1/2-1 page long, single-spaced, that are due the day after a class discussion. Aside from the title, I have usually left these very flexible so that you can follow up on your own interests. However, there are some ways to increase your reflection grade, such as:
  • creativity
  • clarity and good writing
  • depth of reflection
  • incorporate contradictory ideas
  • conduct your own research and summarize what you found
  • explain what you found most compelling and why
