Matt Groening: What's all this science stuff?

David X Cohen: Oh, I'm going to talk a lot of math here. If everyone wants to really lean forward with excited drooling expectation, get ready - I'm going to explain what all this math is.

Matt Groening: This is where David Cohen comes alive....

David X Cohen then discussed the significance of some of the mathematics in this episode, including the P=NP equation, the hexidecimal ascii code that decodes to "Frink Rules!" and his computer program to find Fermat Near Misses.

David X Cohen: And if anyone has any further interest in the math equations, you should go to this website called SimpsonsMath.com, which discusses all this stuff, run by two mathematicians, Professor Sarah Greenwald and Professor Andrew Nestler. So check that out.

Matt Groening: By the way, and what David just said is a truncated version of what you'll get on that website. In fact, at your house you had those professors do a whole lecture.

David X Cohen: Yes they lectured on this.

Matt Groening: And I was lost within a minute.
