Syllabus Objectives
A careful study of the techniques and applications of calculus and real analysis. When appropriate, compare/connect material to the secondary curriculum.

Goals
Understand elementary analysis constructs and their properties. Learn the basic proof techniques of real analysis. Develop historical context for advanced calculus.

Topics
  1. Fundamentals: basic logic, sets, mappings, binary operations, relations. (Chapter 1)
  2. Sequences: convergence and limits. (Chapter 2)
  3. Limits of Functions: limits. (Chaper 3)
  4. Continuity: at a point, on an interval, uniform. (Chapter 4)
  5. Differentiation: functions and derivatives. (Chapter 5) as time allows
Prerequisite:
    MAT 2110, Techniques of Proof
