Starting in fall 2025, the following courses count as the final course in data science certificate:

  • CS 3750: Applied Neural Networks
  • CS 4440: Artificial Intelligence
  • CS 4755: Applied Machine Learning (as before).

    • Jan 18, 2023

    • For Spring 2023, graduate students can take (CS 5549: Causal Inference in CS - Mohammad Ali Javidian) to complete the course requirements for the data science program.
    • CS 3544 (Machine Learning for Cybersecurity - Mir Pritom) [Summer 2023] can be taken to complete the course requirements for the data science program.
    we are not going to remove CS 4755 or replace it with these courses, we substitute them. For Fall 2023, the department will offer several AI and ML courses that can be taken to complete the course requirements for the data science program.
