Howard had a new year's postcard from the Argentinian Landsbergs.
Front with 4 family members
Back.
The yiddish back translates to: This is for my brother and sister
Henoch and Brantsha Landsberg. The return address was listed as Av.
de los incas 4598 Buenos Aires.
Compare the father in that picture with this younger
man, in a picture from Chelm:
Front with young man, which Barry had. Here is the back (Chelm al. Lub.)
These are pictures of Sindl/Zyndel, Henia Leder, and children Rebeca and Mauricio.
The passport shows an address of Chelm, Oblonska Street No. 24 and is dated 1923. It says Zyndel was born in 1893 in Dubienka. His profession was krupiarz. Going to Argentina.
Compare with this
picture where Zyndel, Henia, and Rebeca are on the left side, provided to us by Zyndel's grandson Daniel.
Here is a picture of
Henry/Gershon Henoch for comparison sake.
Joel recalls hearing that there were Landsberg relatives that went to
Argentina from Dubienka in the fur business, but that Henry did not join
them because he was allergic to one of the chemicals in the tanning
process.
Fran-Ellen recalls that relatives
from Poland who went to Argentina visited Brancha and Henry in
the US during the 1940s.
Gaye recalls that her parents once took
Brancha to see a woman who she called her sister-in-law, also her best
friend growing up in Dubenkia.
