Overview:
In the spring of 2001, I
was a student in Dr. Sarah J. Greenwald’s seminar class, Women and
Minorities in Mathematics.
Throughout the course, we researched many women and minority
mathematicians and their work. We
then wrote papers about what we had discovered. I researched Jonathan Farley for one of my papers.
Jonathan
Farley is a young African-American mathematician who has greatly contributed to
the world of mathematical theory.
His work is in lattice theory.
Jonathan Farley is still making an impact on the mathematical world
today. He is an icon of the 21st
century.
