Short Bio

I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Appalachian State University. Before joining AppState I was a lecturer in the Department of Engineering Education at Virginia Tech. The overarching theme of my research is the design and performance analysis of data center networks. My current research focuses on the design of free space optical data center architectures utilizing the high capacity and high speed of free space optical technology. I am also working on the design of a novel class of 2D free space optical multicast-capable switch using tri-state switching element.
